武丹坑炭礦的礦場在政光一號橋附近，藉由人力推送的臺車，使用全長約1.8公里的輕便軌道來載送煤炭至南方的牡丹車站。輕便軌道分成一來一回兩條平行路線，由礦場儲煤場出發，第一段是約530公尺長的平路，第二段為約180公尺長的下坡，第三段經過約1,066公尺長的平路後到達牡丹車站旁的儲煤場，臺車軌道在平路使用12磅重的鐵軌，斜坡則使用16磅重的鐵軌。礦場所在位置地勢較高，滿載煤炭的重車從礦場藉由重力推送至牡丹車站較為省力，回程空車再由人力推回礦場。

Wudankeng Coal Mine was located near the Cheng-Kuang No. 1 Bridge. Workers used hand-pushed carts on a light rail track about 1.8 kilometers long to move coal to Mudan Station in the south. The track had two parallel lines, one for going and one for returning. The track started from the mine's coal storage area. The first part was a flat road about 530 meters long. And then a 180-meter downhill slope. The last part was a 1,066-meter flat section leading to the coal storage area beside Mudan Station. The flat parts of the track used 12-pound rails, while the slope used 16-pound rails. Since the mine was higher up, the loaded carts could be easily pushed to Mudan Station with gravity. Empty carts were then pushed back up to the mine by manpower.
